How much ambient light you have? A lot of lights from windows will always promote algae.

dream fish

Hey, he's only a juvenille. I figure if he gets too big and rambunctious, I'll just set up a 300 gallon for him. Way easier to convince the wife to get a bigger tank if we already have the fish. ...

James, from your signature, you have 2x250watt mh over a 70 gallon tank and all you have is a bunch of softies and fish. I think you have too much lighting over that tank. Try yanking off as much...

Try Roger's Aquatics on Scott road in Surrey. He doesn't have any sps but his lps tanks are beautiful. I got most of lps over the last 15 years from Roger, some sps from j&l and ocean aquatics.

sps

Thanks for all the info everyone. The acro in question has gone mostly white on the upper 2/3rds. Funny enough, no algae has taken a foothold on it. I don't think it made it during a 4 day blackout...

Hello everybody, I've been keeping lps for decades, but just started sps this year. My question is when is an acropora totally dead. I've got some frags that I bought from j and l about 4 mos ago....

Anthony, thanks for your reply. I'm planning to add a calcium reactor soon. It's just that since my new tank has only been running a few months, Jeff at J&L said that I don't need one yet. I...

2 part

Marie, what do you mean by precipitation? After adding part A, how long should I wait before adding part B? I currently add part B pretty well right after adding part A. Should I be waiting longer?
