it's not about the amount of par....your light...
it's not about the amount of par....your light has enough par for sure.
It's about the amount of par and the spectrum your new clam is used to and how much different your lights par and spectrum...

It's never good, generally the acclimate pretty quickly if they are introduced to the system slowly but they should only be gapping if unhappy for some...

It is by far a superior light compared to a par 38 BUT...they are 229plus tax at most retailers.
You can get a great quality par 38 for 60 bucks on Ebay.
