The only thing I've tested in over a year is salinity, always during water changes. That's about it. Probably not ideal, but it works for me.

I only run 12 LEDs over 5 feet of 1" fined heat sink. These are 3w Crees and that was the max recommended by RapidLed for that length. The 3w stars are about 4.5 inches apart.
