Im running the 180 on my lightly stocked 120gal...
Im running the 180 on my lightly stocked 120gal and it is IMO a little over kill. I think it would be fine on a medium stocked 180 gal. Personally for skimmer ratings I always use the light bioload...

I should also add the aquabee pump is very strong! pretty much anything in the sump gets pulled towards the skimmer compared to the atman pump on the nac7 which got maybe 70% of the floaties lol
