IMHO Rio's are crap.
I would use a Quietone 6000 if you want to go submersible.
I use a QO4000 on my tank and I have to use a diverter due to too much flow, but a 6000 should suffice for your tank.

I've had my 20G running for over 2 years now, and I was thinking of replacing or removing the sandbed I have. That tank is a pod haven for the larger system and I'm worried about losing all the pods....
