the deeper the better if i had known before...
the deeper the better if i had known before setting up my tank i would have done this the deeper it is the more anerobic bacteria you will have, anerobic bacteria thrives on low light and NO oxygen...

the tank can take up to a month to cycle but every time you add something the tank will go through a mini cycle as the bacteria that consumes waste populates to keep up with the increased bio load...
