Is that 10x optical zoom? I was using the 10x digital on mine. It has the option to zoom in 10x digital + 10x optical for a total of 100x. That makes it really hard to focus even on manual.

I don't know about that. I was told that my 1.25 inch fighting conch will do my whole tank, 65 gallon or 36x18 foot print. (648 sq/inch) What is the footprint of your tank?
