I run mine outside to the fishpond, keeps the pond topped up and does not seem to cause any ill effects, the pond overflow in turn runs out into the garden to keep the fruit trees watered.

Great job, looks good. The shallow depth meakes the tank look even longer, not to mention it has to be easier to work on, I need snorkel gear to do any landscaping in my tank.
