What happens if you leave the carbon in too long. Is there any bad results. I have a lot of softies in my tank so I started running carbon. After a while I niticed that there was some green algae...

you could go thruogh any of the local fish stores that deal with salt water critters. they will drill it and install the overflow and maybe even through in a stand pipe.

I do have a skimmer. It is a prizm. The crappy one. Seems to be O.K. for now. I don't have a very big bio load at the moment.

As you can see I have some pretty ugly algae on the back glass. :mad: Since I put a refugium in and got some caulerpa algae, it has been diminishing rapidly. :biggrin:
