I agree with whomever said it was a spaghetti worm. I lot of sedentary annelids look pretty nasty when they come out of their burrows and tubes. Ever see a feather duster worm out of its tube?

For other fish, do you like wrasse? There are a number of gorgeous flashers and fairies that would do well in a 65.

That depends on the species. I've had smaller ones with no problems. Most likely there won't be any issues but I agree, keep an eye on it (soon to be them).
