Can Urchin survive in the sump?

The bad urchin attached and moved my rocks and corals all around my tank. Today I had to put him in the jail. can it survive the 30g sump? do i need to feed it? what should I feed it? thanks alot!

I tested phosphate(0), nitrate(0), PH(7.8-8.0), KH, calcium weekly, shows nothing wrong there. Is my test kit not accurate enough? Its a "Reef Master Test Kit" from API.
