Wow! Nice leopard! Those black ones are certainly rare. It looks very healthy so I think you made an excellent choice. I have a weakness for them as well. I had 3 M. meleagris but one of them jumped,...

They are not that difficult to build. My husband built 2 PE-2's. The hardest thing was finding the prop. Most hobby stores don't stock the R designated propellor so you have to special order them...

Awesome!
So now you have one too! Your rose will be worth every penny you spent on it not only because it is beautiful, but because the split was from a mother who divides quite frequently! So you will have...

bleaching
I have had something like this happen as well. I bought a purple humilis colony about 7 months ago. It bleached within a month and so I placed it on the bottom of my tank. I thought it was a goner,...

Reeftec P-E2
I have 2 reeftec pe-2's on our 360g sps tank. IMO, there is no better way to get a massive amount of flow towards the midsection of the tank. Powerheads, and seaswirls just cannot reach all the way...

Gobies
I guess I am lucky I came across this thread now, as I was going to put in an order for some yellow clown gobies from J&L. I have 2 green clown gobies (G.histrio ?) that have been a great addition...

Our 360
Bryan,
Boosting the photoperiod near the end of the bulbs life sounds like an interesting way (as long as you don't mind the hydro, I run 5 of them so I cannot do this as there are heating...

Our 360
Just took some pictures last night (pictures are slightly bluer than in real life). The tank has been set up for 2 months (transfered from 180). For those who are curious we use 400W Radiums on...

400W radiums. anyone here use em?
Stircrazy,
What type of ballasts are you running the radiums on? IMO the light is at its best when under the 400w HQI ballasts. They are bluer than the HQI when using the electronic ballasts, and...

I posted before about my clam losses (4 maximas, 2 croceas and 1 derasa). It seemed to take about 2 weeks for the other clams to get infected. I still have 2 derasas (not completely normal looking...
