I guess what I was looking for was more of an explanation or reason. Myself; I can't see how a dead fish in the river would do any harm; as the river's ecosystem is designed to break down dead fish....

I appreciate all the advice, everybody. These guys are my pets; I imagine many of you feel the same way. It's not a factor of cost of replacement; it's a matter of taking care of them.
