Bought a house. Time for a crazy reef tank

After 25 years of living with my parents and saving my money I've finally bought my own house. Construction hasn't even begun so I have 7-8 months to plan an ultimate reef tank.

My Initial idea was to do a U shaped tank.

Suggestions and ideas are welcome

If it is going to be a basement tank, I would choose a L shaped tank since that gives a small tank room behind the tank itself. :D

And congrates

Oh it's gonna be built into a wall for sure with a filtration room

man that is awesome news bro I would do a super long tank. like 2 drop offs starts with 2 feet and then drops to 4 feet then come to the other side to 2 feet

Just some things to consider

Will it be viewable from both sides?
How big are you looking for your tank?
Adequate ventilation for heat and moisture and storage space?
If house is 2 floors will display be up and plumbing be down?
How much room for cleaning and moving stuff around?
Future room considerations IE. remodelling, purpose built, resale value?

Just some ideas

it will be going into a basement.
venting wont be a problem.
id like to stay under 600 gallons so i wouldnt have to buy any more equipment.

i get about 600sq feet of basement space to have tank and sump room.

Make it a steep canyon with a deep sand bed at the bottom. Prime real estate for garden eels!

That would be cool. But I'm not really Interested in eels.
