Lighting times
 

Looking for some advice

How long should I keep my main light on?
How long should I keep my actinic light on?
Should there be a time where I have no lights on?

I'm running a biocube 29

Most people keep there lights on between 8-12 hours and while some keep moon lights on at night Im a believer that there should be a period of no lights to simulate night just like in the ocean

Would 2 hours of no light sound good?

So I'm thinking of running my lights on this schedule, tell me what u think

Main light 2pm-10pm
Blue light from 10pm-4am
No light from 4am-6am
Blue light 6am-2pm


Also I have 2 power heads in the tank. I'm think of putting one of them on a timer and have it off from 10pm-4am just to change the current in the tank. Is that a good idea or should I leave both of them on all the time?
