Agreed. I last measured pH 8 years ago.

^ +1 what they said. Don't try to correct your pH, it's fine. That will be a losing battle.

My pH is typically between 8.15-8.3

My temperature on the hand... 78.1-81.9.. damn Halides.

Mine hits 7.9 at night and I've seen it at 8.24 midday
Only reason I know is I have a ph monitor on my controller otherwise I agree with every one else- don't even bother checking

Mine ranges from 7.8 -> 8.5 depending on the day/month/season/temperature/colour-of-my-hair/etc.

I don't do anything to control it, and really don't care what it is, but it's cool to watch the fluctuation more than anything. If things aren't melting I won't really care, and truthfully I wouldn't look at controlling PH directly anyways :)

mine 7.9-8.2

7.8 to 8.3 here. I never care to mesure the PH before I got my controller and now I know because I see it being tracked by the controller.

It's usefull to know this because recently we had a power outage and my stupid dosing pump does not resume on its own after a power outage. I watched my PH go down to 7.5 and I knew something was not right. Checked the KH and it was 6, checked the dosing pump and sure enough it was off. So having the PH fluctuate outside my normal range was a good indication that something was wrong.
