so, my first salt tank. these hitchhikers are too small right now for me to get a look at their mouths.

regarding anthelia

the branches that extend off of the main arms are so few in my pictures. do they multiply as it grows as I see that anthelia arms are more like feathers than my weeeee ones.

and another thing: if it is anthelia

This beast came on some live rock and I have it in my 40 gallon cube. will it overrun the place?

depending on your nutrient levels, its a fast grower with high levels of nutrients.

Alot of guys that I talked with wish that they never added it to their tank. Its one of those things that if you have it on one rock, keep it separate from everything else or it will take over. I have it on one rock that I keep to the side.

It's anthelia and yes if not kept in check can and will take over I usually take some scissors and a net and mow it down every few months it grows back fairly good and it stays in the tank because it IMO is great eye candy as it moves extremely well In water flow and is pretty to look at for most people
