Can Anyone IdentifyThis?
2 Attachment(s)
I purchased some Zoa's a while ago and noticed these tiny brown "palm Tree" looking things in between the Zoa heads. They eventually left the Zoa and started climbing up the rock. Anyone know what they are?

Eek:help: gonna get onto that ASAP

I would personally say if your not all that attached to the zoa colony to just chuck the whole thing. When you try and remove the hydroids in the tank you will just end up spreading them.

Yep
Turf the frag

Pulled the rock out and torched everything I could see. May have lost my favourite Zoa colony though but what can you do  Put the rock back into the tank and cant see anymore so I hope it worked

Man...
I've dealt with hydroids many a time and have never had them become prolific... |
They thrive in tanks with a large amount of particulate in the water, Denny feeds more than any reefer I have ever met so hence his problem.
In a ULNS/ LNS they will fall down to basal levels or starve to death. |
Mine came in with a Zoa colony, come to think of it I also got Aptaisia from the same place. Won't buy off that guy again!
