Dry rock question

So I'm planning to buy some dry rock but the owner said it previous was in a tank that was treated with copper. So if I get the rock and soak it in bleach n fully wash it off and bring it back to life slowly will it be safe for my corals ? Is there a better way to do it or is it just a no go?

you can use cuprisorb(sp?), but I personally wouldnt risk it.....good LR is the single most important "cog" in the "machine" that makes a successful reef tank...

Agreed. The work involved to "maybe" clean it is ridiculous. You'd have to soak it in acid and that's just messy and dangerous. Rock that has had copper should be used in the garden.
