Pump help identification

This pump is my return pump and i am asking the help of the canreef community. It has no writing or markings on it and i'm hoping someone can identify it for me so if it fails one day i'll know and i can calculate flow rate.

That looks like a Quite One pump to me, as for size no idea. Best thing to do is to calculate the flow rate ( roughly ) by filling a tub or Rubbermaid can for pump to be submerged into & time (in sec's) how long it takes to fill a bucket or whatever that you know the size of & then do the calculation to get GPH.

also make sure you are filling that bucket the same height as your aquarium so u get the proper head

That's really not the important after all you want to know what gph the pump is actually rated for to get the same size as you have. If you fill bucket with the same head it will decrease the flow rate and you will not know if its a Quite one 3000, 4000 or 5000.

Stay clear..... this Bear bites off limbs!!

True enough

Not all pumps deal with head loss the same tho. I'd also measure the actual output per hour from your returns and then you can shop for a backup that will perform the same given your head losses. You can find calculators to do this.
