I got a 30 gallon tank I will use as a sump and will buy some acrylic to make baffles with I'm bit nervous as this is new territory for me and plumbing has never been my strong suit.
I will be taking my time on this build as I am in no rush and want to do it right so I'm going with the motto "slow and steady will get you to the end" One question who in BC sells Reef Octopus in sump skimmers? |

Welcome aboard the Saltwater ride! Note that if your sump is glass...the acrylic baffles won't hold long...better to get some glass ones cut to the right size and silicone them in yourself.
Certain Reef octo skimmers can be had at www.reefsupplycanada.com while others will have to be ordered elsewhere |
To add to my previous answer, it looks like goreef.com sells most of the Octo line.

If your 30g sump tank is glass, acrylic does NOT bond well with glass. I would do glass baffles for a glass sump, acrylic with acrylic sump.

Another approach to your baffles is this: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ca/volume...bafflesart.htm
Save your from having to use silicone. |
