I know the LFS in Saskatoon has had two the Bodianus opercularis in the last 3 months and they were a fraction of the price listed on Live Aquaria.

Sometimes the region collected from can inflate prices.

Example ... Sailfin Tang Vs Red Sea Sailfin. Aussie Corals vs Indonesian. Etc. maybe that's the case.

They were from the Maldives as well. The reason is people from the U.S. generally have deeper pockets. Which means some U.S. stores will have higher margins on certain items.
