You hit the nail on the head, you are correct keeping them alive with the correct nutrition this is why the mass of public aquariums around the world use the food for this exact reason and the food is passed by their in house marine nutritionists to make sure the food meets that exact criteria.

One good example was a a dealer up East, he was importing for a long time rare catfish, he could not get them to survive, he was feeding a leading brand food, they would eat but starve. So he switched to New Era, within a month the fish gained weight and he had no more losses, he now breeds from this stock!

Our fish food is getting better and better. I remember getting new stock in and I couldn't get them to eat any of the Flake or pellets from Ocean Nutrition. Then NLS came which was better. Now with New Era, even 10 times better than any other food out there today. I saw a big difference and it's one of the only foods I carry now because of quality. New Era took it up a few levels up compare to others.

Whenever you drop food in, you can see the reaction of the fish. It's almost instant they can smell it and investigate it. I have more success with New Era than any other.

My Moorish eats all 3 and seems quite happy and healthy.

I wish New Era would come out with a pellet for fish with small mouths.
