LF --> Small return pump + Calgary = Happy
Have a little nano system and want to throw into the mix a return pump. A small pump as something no larger than lets say 400gph (best would be around 200-300). The head is very short only 3' so I'm not concerned about loss of gph in this regard. I'd like to run this inline not submersed.
Great working condition is a must as I don't have spare parts. The more quiet and reliable the pump the better as this is for a bedroom setup. Let me know what you've got and we'll go from there! Thanks for the view |

Just thought about throwing in a suggestion :)
Why not get the 790 DC pump and run it at your preferred rate with the controller? Return pumps that people use most commonly go above 600gph, which with a 3' will give you around 400-450gph. |
It is a good suggestion...I'm just trying to keep the amount of hardware at a minimum. Don't have a controller so I'd need to buy 2 things to have a dc pump.

the new dc pumps such as the ones concepts sell (speedwave) come with a simple controller to adjust the pump's speed. you only need to buy the pump. very happy with mine so far.

Just took a look and it's more than I wanted to spend on a nano tank for a return pump. I guess I'll have to cruise the LFS and see what I can see.

What's the reason for needing inline ? Most pumps like what your after will be submersibles
