Just want to try to get a self-sustaining colony of it kinda like chaeto and then feed prunings to the fish.
Got reminded how useful the stuff is when I visited an aquaculture facility (seahorse.com) last week. They give the stuff away. But of course to take any home you break all kinds of laws so that's no good and they won't ship purchases to Canada ("We ship anywhere! ..Except Canada. Go home, eh."). Actually that probably only applies to livestock .. maybe I should email them and ask about feeds, maybe they could be sweet talked into a shipping some. Hmmm. Madmak - thanks for the tip, checked them out this afternoon but unfortunately all gone. Oh well. If anyone sees any, plz let me know! |

I'm not sure but I don't think so. The gracilaria I've seen seems to have really thin branches and seems to be free floating similar to chaeto. The cinch would be if you have any tangs, if so do they eat it up like crazy?
