Mico Bubbles on Live Rock

Hi Everyone,

Just noticed some micro bubbles on some of the live rock, should I be concerned? I use a power head last day and blasted the rocks.

If you just blasted the LR it is probably small amounts of gases escaping or from the agitated water itself. If it appeared out if nowhere it could be the start of a hair or bubble algae outbreak. Tiny air bubbles seem to form on things right before the algae appears.

I wouldn't worry about it.

a very light dusting of dinos or diatoms can also produce a covering of fine bubbles. Look very closely and see if the bubbles are embedded in a very fine, almost too faint to see brown fuzz or film.

If so what would you recommend I do?

Not a lot you can do, not a lot you should do either. At this stage I'd say keep nutrients in check and make sure your parameters are stable, and observe. If it gets worse, you'll have a better idea of what's causing it as it will become more visible. If it's something that is going to pass on it's own, you wouldn't want to make it worse by knee-jerk reacting and causing your system to become unstable.
