I just picked up a couple from Ivan at Aquaria Canada. His price is $11.99 Canadian plus shipping. He was very good to deal with as well. Just anouther option. :smile:

How do you attach these to your pump/powerhead that you are using for topoff? Do you have to splice into the electrical cord, seems a bit dangerous.

Not if you do it correctly.... thats how most people do it one way or another. do a search on this board or other boards and there are lots of articles of different methods with a float switch.

this would be for my up and coming small tank.
for those that are currently using them... how do you like it? how long have you used it for? have you seen any problems with it? any potential problems? any pics of your setup?

Seven Float Switches so far
 
We are at seven units so far
1 for Mason
2 for Jayson
4 for myself

Hi Smokinreefer, here are a couple of threads on connecting these switches up. I will be doing the 12volt setup when I connect mine up. I believe There are some schematics in these threads too.
