Cutting acrylic....?
I was advised a table saw will cut acrylic nicely, but I don't have one.
Anyone tried a sliding mitre saw or tile wet saw? Both have circular blades.... |

Bandsaw, circular skill saw, jigsaw, all work well. I haven't tried a reciprocating sawsall but expect with the correct blade it would work too.

Don't bother with the tile saw as the acrylic would destroy the blade enless you can get a standard saw blade for it. You have a pm heading your way

I've got a table saw and sliding mitre saw setup in my garage if ya ever wanna do a couple cuts feel free to gimme a MSG. I'm just down the road.

I used a skill saw and a clamp on guide, like a fence on table saw. I was also only making baffles for my sump so finish wasn't criticle however it seemed to cut true with no noticable high or low spots.

Or use a router and a clamp on guide

I have a table saw and router setup in my garage, if you need access to it. PM me

Sorry for not replying earlier... this thread got lost in my list.
Thanks for all the input. Now that I have the info I find my plan for a sock holder may not work due to the water level/baffle height in the chamber. |
