Anemone Lose It's Sting??

So does an anemone lose it's sting. I've had a long tentacled one for at least 12 years. I walk by my tank and my lawnmower blenny is lounging in it and reaching over and munching the algae off of the glass. I thought he was a goner but he swam off and did his business elsewhere. He's been going back to it every so often. And no I don't overfeed my anemone as I have'nt fed it since I first got it. Weird

Just a thought ...
Maybe the nem is so used to large things hanging out that it ignores the blenny ?
Or the blenny is the new generation of immune fish

Does the nem still respond to live foods ?

I don't feed live food. I noticed my other fish brush up against it once in a while too with no ill effects

Hmm, I'm curious to see what others post in response

Well it's been a few days so I know that the blenny was'nt sick and trying to take the easy way out. No thoughts from anyone?

Out of curiosity, I'd try feeding it and just see what happens. The lack of a feedi g response might indicate poor health?

Or it's very content and no interest in live food

Hmm...... I never considered it to be in bad health. Looks to be healthy to me it's been attached to the same rock since I first got it. And it looks pretty healthy in that pic doesn't it? Maybe ill try feeding it just to see. But maybe it's an artificial one and I just don't know. Haha
