Is the sale price for the 6100 ( without the hyper violets) only or includes the 6100HV? If not, how much are the 6100HV?

http://www.aquariumcomputer.com/Syst...mp_mitras.html

It also looks like the HV us also an add on... How much are these?
Lastly, Will the Mitras be adding UV to the lights in the near future?

Aqua-Digital 12-26-2012 07:36 PM

The standard light IS HV All Mitras sold in NA come with HV

NON HV is not offered

The price listed is for HV

NON HV is not available in North America unless specifically requested, so if you order a Mitras it will automatically be HV

I will add they are incredible lights. Not really impressed that they are on sale but good for those who are getting them now.

I am thinking that I may need two. If I do I will get it from Blue World in Vic.

Still inq if the Mitras will have an optional upgrade for UV.

Thanks for sharing. Do you have a video of your tank with the Mitras that you can share?

HV in the LED world for reef tanks with all makes of LED lights is classed as UV as it catches the upper end of the spectrum of UV component. However to have a full on UV component Under (380nm) in an LED fixture could be very dangerous as it is invisible to the human eye. The UV component most LED systems now offer is between 380-420nm this is what is referred to as UV reef tank LED lights.

GHL coined the phrase Hyperviolet as light produced is in the visible part of the UV component and thus a more accurate term in their view.

I guess a simpler answer is

YES all Mitras sold come with UV component - GHL call this HV

So there is no need to upgrade as it already has it.

Hope that helps ;)
