How do you sort out scratches in Starfire.
 

well i have scratches in my RSM 250 starfire glass. how do one fix it.

In reality you don't, you buy a new tank. They can be buffed out with special equipment but it will leave a blemish that's probably worse than the scratch.

it'll most likely thin the glass creating some lovely distortions.

Doug i know the first day i had it i was using GET THIS my new algae magnet and scratched the front i cant speak.

if its a big scratch it will take hours and hours and youll distort the glass, if its too deep it cant be polished out.

if its a light scratch you can polish it with out any distortion , but theres a fine line between having the glass bevel on you and not.

obviously this has to be done in a dry tank as it takes a polishing compound and is very messy procedure:)

well i guess new tank comes to mind once we move to the other house
