Whelks vs Nassarius
 

Hey all,
Quick question, if I bought whelks instead of nassarius snails, am I going to lose any crabs, shrimps or corals? I'm assuming that my dartfish is fine. I'll get pictures up here tomorrow. Too tired to turn the lights on and try to find the bugger.
The reason I'm asking is that I bought 3, they look identical, but today I found one on the rocks and glass. I have no clams or mussels in my tank, but still.

i don't see my nass on rocks very often, but they do climb the glass from time to time

my nassarius are frequently on my glass and every so often, though a lot more rare I will see one on a rock. But theyve grown quite fond of the glass, its funny watching them fall off it too.
Maybe post a picture so somebody can tell you what kind of snail you truely have. I dont think stores actually sell whelks do they?

So I can't see the rogue snail. My pictures will come up as soon as it shows up.
