Neptune Apex controler and power heads
 

Not sure if this is the right thread to put this (new to the hobby and this forum).

I am setting up a 150Gal with 40g refugium sump. After a bunch of reading and "you tubing" I decided to purchase a Neptune apex controller. Now, I understand that Tunze stream power heads will work with the Variable Speed ports. Has any one on here used that set up and how well does it work? the start up cost of 340.00 each for 6105 power heads is a little steep. I know the Mp40 are 500.00 so I am trying to reach a happy medium here for my first tank with out breaking the bank.

would love some experienced input from the group.

P.S - I have orderd some cheap Hydor power heads (1050 gph) to hold me over untill i make other plans
