Brittle Star question

I get lots of these guys still living when I replace my sump socks every 2-3 days. If living, i usually throw them back in the aquarium. they are small - maybe the size of a toonie with legs extended. Are brown in colour. Are they beneficial to the aquarium at this size? Thanks.

mini brittle stars, yes they are good guys. max out at about 2.5 inches.

how do you guys have none? i have 1000s and i have a 10g..
i just help a girl i know start a tank and she has hundreds that came with the rock. haha as for as i know everyhone has way to many
