WTH was THAT?!?

Well...I got up this morning, and was admiring my work from last night  (hung one of my MH's last night). When I saw this 'thing' swimming around my tank  ! Never seen it before.....have no idea WTH it is. Any ideas
It's about a half inch long, white, swims real fast, and from what I could see some what resembles a white, pudgy tad pole....it was definitely alive and swimming. I tried to take a pic but the camera didn't focus on it right.

Then I saw get sucked into the overflow.

Help!

I think there are some parasitic isopods that may fit that description. They suck the blood out of fish. 1/2" may be a little large for these, but that is all that came to mind.

If it is still in your sump, net it out and take a pic in a small tank or tupperware. Sounds very interesting.

It may have been a bristleworm epitoke. This is the reproductive form of some polychaete worms. At first it will be trailing a large worm like sperm sac, which will eventually empty into the water column (and feed your corals). The ones I have are ~ 3/4 to 1 inch for the worm portion and 3 inches for the reproductive portion. The one in the photo is substantially smaller, but has the same general appearance

I forgot to mention, they are a delicacy in the indopacific.

Well, now I can't find the stupid thing!

So far none of the pics posted are it....I appreciate the efforts though.

It didn't have any sort of antena, legs, or things coming off it. Just weird.
If I find it, I'll nab it next time.

Oh, I also have a chiton I didn't know I had.....are they ok?
