Clownfish stuck in the overflow
HOW THE @$#@~ do I get him out!
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.n...11308262_n.jpg My small occ clown has found himself stuck in the overflow, he jumped in there. it's 8 gallons and has sink traps on the plumbing so he can't get very far and he seems quite comfortable. How do I get him out without draining the whole thing and causing a mess. I tried tricking him with some repeshy food (his favorite) and my net. obviously that didn't work. that's an old photo from when I first set up the tank. 60 gallon starphire cube. |
Is he small enough to siphon out with a large diameter hose?
|
put a net under the drain the the sump. and pull the stand pipe.
|
no he's not quite that small he's about 1.5 inches
Marco, that's what I've been pondering about but it looks like a pain and a long drop. |
My wrasse ends up in mine once & awhile.. usually get 99% of the water out of the overflow, then just use the net...
