Need to find out where I can buy 1 1/8 diamond hole saw bit ?
Rona has 1" and 1 1/4" hole saw, home depot has 1" I am wondering if any one has a source for diamond coated hole saw's - I noticed there is an allowance for 3/4 of an inch drains and am contemplating just going to 3/4, or can i just go with the 1 1/4 inch hole I am sure the bulk head will be ok - well i hope at least .

Pretty sure the smallest 3/4" bulkhead still needs 1.375" installation hole so 1-1/4" won't work. Plenty places to order diamond hole saws online including eBay. I purchased mine from http://www.thk.hk, they work well.

You are right about the 3/4" bulk head hole size - I meant that the hole saw for that bulkhead is available at Rona so i could just buy that one and switch my plumbing to 3/4 . I just need to know if a 1 1/4 hole is too big or not. Another web site suggested using a 32mm or 1.25 bit so I am assuming I can use the 1 1/4 inch bit from Rona ($19.99). J&L's web site and packaging suggest a 1 1/8 hole !

Also thanks for the link - My father in law just returned from H.K. - I could of had him pick me up some bits !

If these are to go down from the overflow, then don't do 3/4" bulkheads because these get easily plugged by snails & then your tank overflows.

Thank's for the offer- I just want to buy one because I plan on drilling a few more holes down the road .
