You should be fine. I know the GE 1200 (can anyone confirm?) is okay to use. On the back it should say Ideal for aquarium repair. You can get it at Canadian Tire for around 6$.

Just don't use the GE Silicone II. It is not suitable for aquariums or submersion in water. DAMHIKT (but at least I discovered the mistake before it turned to disaster)

If you cant find the ge1200 stuff than the type I is fine to use. As it was mentioned just don't use II.

like Wendell said, homehardware has their own and its usually pretty cheap when you get it in a 3pack
