Fragfest?
 

Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forum and keep seeing people comment on a upcoming Fragfest?
Im not sure what this is but sounds interesting. I would love if some forum members could chime in and give me details on the event?

Frag fest or frag swap is usually put together by hobbyists or LFS who like to sell and trade corals that has been over grown in the tank. Frag means fragiments of corals that you have propagated. You can pretty much frag anything as long as you know the proper technique. It's also a great way to pass on corals without having to take more from the wild. Frags are usually cheaper and more resilient then there wild counterparts plus the less chance of it being infested with any unwanted pests.

I think there will be one happening in November on the island and I am also planing on having one soon on the mainland.

Count me in if you are going to host another one. I missed the last one since i was in the States that weekend. :(

I would be in if its at your place again. Didn't make the last one, hopefully Its on a day I can make this time! Especially since it would be so close.

If Rich hosts another Frag Swap, I'll recommend we all bring food
