Clam I'd?

Never had clams before so I figured I'd pick a couple up because they were what I think is a good deal but I could be wrong. Any ideas on what they are?

Smaller is crocea
Other could be maxima but if like other than same as first
Better photos also help

Appears to be Maxima.

needs strong lighting. Looks like you are using T5, so you may want to bring it up higher.

Both are small maxima clams. They have scutes (the horizontal "ridges") while croceas are smooth on the sides.

They're in 2-3" of water under 3xt5ho can't move them up more although I could lower the lights closer to the water.
