meteor shower this month!

I read online the other day that starting tonight all the way to the 23rd of august there will be a large meteor shower, one of the largest in our life times. It will be brightest and most active between the 12-13th so any astro hobbyists or anyone whos never wished on a shooting star now is your chance!

I've been thinking of driving out to the badlands this weekend to snap a few long exposture shots.

You need to go camping more where there's NO light pollution from city lights. I've NEVER gone camping in the past in the wilderness on clear nights where I didn't see shooting stars.

actualy this is one we see every year at aproximatly the same time, called the Perseid meteor shower, but yes it is a bright and spectualr one. I remember watching in the summers when I was a kid/young adult, about 2 hours out of edmonton camping at the lake.

get out of the city and away from the lights as you might see a few there, in the dark country you will see hundreds.
