There are a few obvious ones in there but I havent heard of most of these and I would say Im a pretty avid collector. Google doesnt provide much either....got a website sbaaquariums for some but just pictures of a frag. WHo has the mother colonies, who named them? Basically looking to see mother colony pictures and figure out how long they have been in grown in captivity. ALso its nice to know a few people have been successful growing out an acro.

IF they are sweet than it doesnt matter that I may not of heard of them....but bascially I'm looking for more info on who named them....farmed them....how long they have been in captivity and of course pictures of mother colonies and frags would be nice. :) exiting....

Oh I noticed you put ORA red planet....thank you for that because many people especially around here have called different wild acropora "red planet". This lets us know we are getting the same one farmed by ORA. I know there have been a corals that come looking similar to the tyree red dragon....is yours the tyree red dragon?

This is pretty shocking since the original ORA Red Planet is common as dirt in Western Canada. I think every other SPS hobbyist I have visited in the past year has had this coral.

Believe it or not...its not common here. At least the real one is not common. Even wild versions can catch a pretty penny.

All it takes is someone to import it and a few good growers in one area that are generous and the price will drop...over time. Takes years for nice sized colonies that can get spread around enough to do this though.

I would suggest that only certain pockets in western Canada have a lot of true red planet. I bet if someone is willing to ship it would still sell well at a good price.

P.S. Thank you for your answer Greg. He is looking into pictures of the mother colonies from his supplier but not sure if he can get them. He has assured me the frags are very nice though :)
