Just cant seem to get the aquarium glass clean (inside)
So with the purchase of new KZ superblue bulbs the colour in the corals really stood out as welll as the fact that my glass is cloudy and no amount of scraping will remove it.
Tryed all the normal methods algae magnets etc etc . It looks cloudy not scratched just a very light "cloudyness" all over the front Payne possible mineral build up ?. Its more evident when the Superblues are on . Any thoughts on removing this . Thanks |
Since you said "front glass" try to remove it with a razor blade or stainless steel scraper. It is hard work but it does come off.
What is your alkalinity at? Cheers, Tim |
Alk 8-9 Thanks for the tip will give the Razor a try the kent pro scraper has no effect .

Razor blade always works flawless, and it's fairly quick too. Just watch out for your silicone!

You may want to try lowering the Alk to 7 - 8dKH range which is typical for natural seawater. Make sure your test kit is accurate as well.
I found that once a tank starts doing this it won't stop until the Alk is lowered. Increasing the magnesium does not help either. Hope that helps. Cheers, Tim |

Easy Blade's the best I've used for really cleaning the glass. |
