help with a Panasonic GF2 camera
 

Was trying to do some time exposure pictures when camping but guess camera thinks it's smarter than me as wont allow under or over exposed pictures even in manual mode.

Any ideas how to set the camera up for time exposures on a Panasonic DMC-GF2 (say for example if I wanted to take a picture with the lens cap on)?
