Lighting question for the inexperienced
 

I was reading about 250w 20k radiums and saw a note on one of the vendors' websites stating that for these bulbs you need HQI ballasts, Icecap electronic ballsts, or pulse ballasts. I think I have standard PFO ballasts.. so is it safe to assume I couldn't use this bulb or do they make more than one type of radium bulb out there?

JT, the problem will be that a regular ballast may not start the bulb each time it tries to fire. Of course this can happen with 10k bulbs also. Color will also be different, depending on th eballast you use. And no, there is only one Radium bulb. There are other 20k, but not Radium brand.
