Found a very small starfish?
 

Iv had my tank up for sometime and recently noticed a little starfish thing crawl around on the glass everyonce in a blue moon, does anyone know exactly what it is I managed to get a few pictures this time before it disapeared again. I have no star fish except those guys that have long tenticles that live in the live rock not sure there name though this guy however is completly diffrence.

asterina starfish, hundreds if not thousands in my tanks. overall extremely beneficial for you.

Not always.


Search this forum or google. You'll find mixed reviews. I've seen them be both harmless and problematic.
