Citrus gobie aaaggghhh

So I took a chance. I called a lfs they assured me it would be fine and they don't bother Sps to much

Well my efflo is half eaten and this thing loves polyps.

AND I CANT CATCH IT.....

badfish! 04-13-2012 02:44 AM

That sucks.... I cannot keep a goby alive for the life of me... What other fish do you have in your tank, maybe if you feed lightly the fish will get hungry enough and eat him for you? Thats what happened to my last one, when I decided my fish were getting too fat.

I have a wrasse tank. No predetors

Interesting.

Any info will tell a person that clown gobies can eat the polyps if SPS colonies.

Usually not enough to bother a large colony, but smaller pieces beware.

Sorry to hear.

Had the same trouble with my clown goby, the guy almost ate a whole colony of pocci.
I discovered a little trick to getting him out though. When hes chillin on a coral or something or hiding in a hard spot to get the net, take a siphon tube and start to siphon the water and try to get it near the goby. The little sucker will get sucked up without harm!

I got him out. Tried to siphon him out with no luck

Used a trap and put the efflo he liked so much in there.

Flash 04-18-2012 10:44 PM

i can throw him in my lps tank if you want?

Proteus 04-18-2012 11:15 PM

Bob called dibs on it but it jumped into the refuge where my huma huma is. So he might be fish food soon
