what do you use to attach your rocks? glue? silicone? epoxy?
i think i would rather do something like this rather then drill into the rocks and risk breaking them...

I just used some Tunze epoxy on 4 pieces of dry rock and it worked really well. I cured it overnight in a bucket with a heater and powerhead @ 81F
I pulled the whole 25lb pile out the next day like it was one piece

I drilled holes in my dry rock with no problem at all. The trick is to start with a smaller drill bit and keep increasing the size. Worked awesome for me!
