Sps frag beside each other

I've got the opportunity to buy some really nice baby blue tenius with yellow polyps but I can only get frags. My question is if I buy a couple frags and kinda cluster them together will they kill each other and if any one has delt with this species and placement in the tank.

Don't put them too close so they have room to grow and they probably will fight each other when they grow into each other.

If they are from the same colony they will just grow into each other Ive never had them fight.

+1.....if its the same species and especially if the frags are all from the same mother colony there should be no issue whatsoever.....I would ask if you have the option of of paying a little more for a larger frag.....larger frags seem to do better.

My red planet was 3 frags that fused into each other. Same mom no sweat.

They grow into each other if the same specie. I once broke a piece of a blue tip acropora that fell on the main colonie and left it there upside down. It merged into the colonie and started to grow a new branche from it, and even though it was upside down, it started to grow a new branch going toward the light in opposite direction of the original branch, so it reversed its direction of growth. Now in that spot I have a blue spot around the merge and a new branch growing. The original blue tip of that branch is now fully merged with the main colonie.
