PODs?.... Video
I made this little video today.
These are in my refugium that is attached to my 20 gallon Mandarin tank. Are they PODs or something else? I know the video is not HQ... it was shot with a PENTAX W90... but you will get the point. If anyone has ideas, let me know. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VL4DA...ature=youtu.be |
Quite looks like it, and a ton of them at that. They look a bit like baby cleaner shrimp when they hatch but sometimes they look like pods. Either way, you've got mandarin food.

Whatever they are.... they have been in there for months. I have just not gotten around to posting anything. There are no shrimp of any sort in my tank. |
Any other input on these little guys?

I have never seen living Mysis in my tank... nor have I intruduced any live foods..... hmm... except Reef Bugs.... which they say "hatch". I have not dosed that in months and months so who knows. They have not grown and I always have them. I am not sure if this eliminates shrimp or not. |
I added "reefbugs" to my system a while back, I have loads of Mysis running around in my sump just as your video shows...I also have amphipods & copods but I never really see them until right after I feed the DT, then they too are all over the place, funny to watch when they grab a larger piece of food and hold on to it with all they have.

I'll have to scope the 20 one night and see how many larger pods there are. |
